Solo traveling wishes, lace up hiking boots or climbing shoes, enjoy nature, take a few photos to remember, to frame a shot, or simply for the pleasure of it—waiting for the perfect moment.

This series is not a reportage, nor is it a collection of iconic locations from Yosemite National Park or other national parks known for their incredible, Instagram-famous spots. Instead, it’s a compilation of sensations, an invitation to take your time.

Through this road trip in California, I wanted to revisit places I love but experience them differently in the autumn of 2019. I also sought to discover new locations through fresh activities: camping in North America's wilderness and being awakened by bears, exploring iconic climbing spots that I’ve only recently started practicing, hiking in the John Muir Wilderness, or enjoying a starry night on the Pacific coast. I traveled light, bringing minimal photography gear, to focus on living in the moment.

I hesitated for a long time before sharing a selection from this series. There’s little cohesion and not much of a narrative. But this time, with each image, I simply share my experience, my feelings, my journey.
