The desire to travel solo, to put on hiking boots or climbing shoes, to enjoy nature, to take a few pictures to remember, to work on a composition or simply for pleasure, to wait for the right moment.

This series is not a documentary, nor is its content an accumulation of emblematic locations in Yosemite National Park or other national parks promising the discovery of incredible places Instagrammed millions of times. It is a collection of sensations; it invites you to take your time.

Through this road trip in California I wanted to rediscover places I love, but appreciate them differently in this autumn of 2019, discover others through new activities: Camping in the nature of North America and being woken up by bears, discovering iconic places of climbing which I have recently taken up, hiking in the John Muir Wilderness or enjoying a starry sky on the Pacific coast, carrying little photographic equipment to travel light and learn to enjoy the moment.
I hesitated for a long time before sharing a selection from this series; there's little coherence, not really a story... This time, with each image, I'm simply sharing my experience, my feelings, my journey...
